Character Analysis Assignment

Author's Note: This is another assignment that we had to do on our language books.

Murtagh, the son of the most powerful member of the Forsworn, Morzan has sworn his allegiance to Galbatorix but regrets it immensely. He hopes that he can someday find away to break free of Galbatorix's reign and return to the Varden. Then Nasuada comes along, the leader of the Varden who he has always had a crush on. Murtagh decides to help Nasuada instead of just himself. Murtagh is a dynamic character because he was just trying to keep himself "afloat" but he decides to help Nasuada and I think he would do anything to help her get out even if it meant him dying and in the beginning of the book Murtagh was only thinking about himself. Murtagh's acions have affected thee story greatly because Nasuada would be dead if it wasn't for him because he told Galbatorix to torture her instead. That may be worse for Nasuada but it is better for the Varden because there is still hope that she will return. Murtagh also tries to help Nasuada escape, he also comforts her after a particularly agonizing torture session with Galbatorix. This is just like at the very end of the Harry Potter series when Voldemort hits Harry with the killing curse that doesn't kill him she knows he is not dead but lets him live anyway.
